The Chosen heart disease

In chapter 11 of The Chosen Rueven's father had a heart attack which did not come as a surprise to the readers of this book. In the earlier chapters it said that he was coughing and sounded very sickly and then it stopped when Rueven came back home from the hospital. So he was already sick and building up to this heart attack.
